Ancient Cool Dudes

Someone got the bright idea to dress up a few old sculptures in modern day hip clothes.  It certainly looks different!

Whether renaissance, or classical age, we are so used to seeing these sculptures as austere and white that it is startling to view in them in color.  In reality, we've learned in recent years that the statuary of the Greek and Roman world was brightly painted.  Here is the reconstructed look of a famous Roman statute:

Leaves you with a very different impression doesn't it?  And the reconstruction below looks like something from Marvel Comics.
