The Monkees Are Back?

Apparently, so.  In fact, their new album, Good Times, is in the Top Ten (with a bullet!).  Below is an interview with the three remaining members, Mike Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork (who lives in Storrs, CT).  Davy Jones passed away in 2012 from a heart attack.  Mike, Micky and Peter seem in good humor.  Dolenz and Tork are touring together now and Nesmith plans to join them at some point.  According to Tork they will keep touring till the others drop and then the remaining member will tour as The Monkey.

Songs for the new album were written by guys from Oasis, Fountains of Wayne, XTC and Death Cab for Cutie.  With Davy gone, Micky is doing all the lead vocals - he doesn't sound like a 70-year old guy.  Two cuts from the album are below - the first, You Bring The Summer, could be a Monkees tune from the 60s.  The second, Me & Magdalena, is a lovely ballad featuring Mike & Micky on vocals and definitely does not sound like a Monkees tune from the 60s.
